tricky situation

It seems all the images i put on my site have now been published so its time to scan a new load.

No blog today.

Am pleased with this one the line is clean and fluid everything is placed correctly except for a small mistake in the nostrils. The jaw is stong and there is a strark contrast with the way ive done the hair .

getting to the end of the week

3rd day running

With this one im not sure at the bottom it all sort of runs into each other but i like that it is quieter at the top and the bodies are more compact in the lower half.

back on track

went for an icecream as its 35oC most days like the glass counter but think the collum in the middle is a bit heavy handed but am plesed with the mans head which is emerging.

after the crash

computer said no and so its been a while .Very pleased with this one the composition of the figuresd is tight and i like the large quiet space also at the top. well framed by the strong verticals all in all a decent composition and maybe somthing worth working up in future.

morning off

Been given morning off due to not enough work coming in (chicken pocks). Very pleased with the coat on this one has some very nice natural folds. Shame the hand is a bit boxy but the hair is nice and free especialy like the space at the back of the head giving the impression of baldness with out putting a line round the skull stating it.

something

There was light from both sides which threw the composition a little i would have been nice with one stronger light source and maybe some darker blacks to help frame the image. The figure all sit verticaly there is no story or movement in there bodies but they are all travling to work and not to a football match so its ok if they are al a bit stiff.

with some swing

Like this one but there is one line to many in the nose and just the loop would have been beautiful. Im pleased with the hood it has a strong form and is a clean line that looks soft like a peice of material.

Some nice things to this one shame i didnt set it on the page properly . Am pleased that every line has purpose and that the placement of them sits well.

should have liked it better

Im a little disapointed with this one. It has all the things i like such as the windows and shadows using spit but its a bit boring. Not sure if its because the people are just there or if because there arnt any wild lines ,everything is where it should be which leaves nothing for the unexpected.

I am pleased with the man with a hat in the background he has a bit of charicter and his pose is very natural. Works well with the light also maybe a bit more contrast over all would have been better.

another monday

strong forms in this one that im pleased with. I like when the windows on the tram frame things somthimes. also this drawing has nice depth. If i had wet it I think it would have been detremental.

Did this quick as possable and was quite a complicated one.

minimal ear

Didnt use spit on this one but is a nice enough litle sketch dosnt have the same atmosphere as the wet ones but is good practice for keeping eye in.

I am pleased with this one is nice and relaxed and the reflection in the window makes it i think.

start of another week.

bit ofa more painted one this I like it when the ink is run and theres strong light from a window. Would have been nice to have more time to develop it before having to hop off and get to work.

Some fella on the tram didnt wet this one pleased that the lines are cleaner but feel that it dosnt have the atomsphere that the ones that make use of light have.
